On September 7th, The Legion of Mary Celebrates their 100th Anniversary!
The Legion of Mary is a lay Catholic organization whose members answer the call to Universal Holiness through their service to the Church on a volunteer basis in almost every country. We are a worldwide apostolic organization of Catholic men and women who place themselves under the banner of Mary, Queen of the Legion. With the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we strive to develop greater spirituality while practicing the spiritual works of mercy for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
The Legion of Mary was formed on the eve of our Lady’s Nativity, September 7, 1921 and was founded by Frank Duff, layman and St. Vincent de Paul member.
Join the Legion of Mary at this time of joy, celebration, and thanksgiving!
Persons desiring to join may apply for membership at Saint Andrews to the Queen of Apostles Praesidium. We meet every Monday at 9:00 am in the chapel. If you have a question or comment, please email us at queenoftheapostles97@gmail.com.
"I could conquer the world if I had an army to say the Rosary."
-Pope Pius IX
As part of our devotion to the Blessed Mother, we lead the Rosary Monday through Saturday immediately following the 8:00 AM Mass. You do not need to be a member of the Legion of Mary to join us in prayer.
