We thank you for responding "yes" to the call! 


You have taken on the role as a St. Andrew the Apostle Parish catechist to pass on the faith. We are here to support you on this journey. 

 In this role, you have been called to be a witness for Christ

and to hand on the Catholic faith to our youth.

We provide training to assist you in this vital role through our catechetical formation and certification process, as well as workshops in our curriculum, opportunities for personal faith formation, handbooks, and other events. We provide support, resources and tools to equip you in sharing the faith.


To support the mission of equipping our catechists to proclaim the Gospel, our parish offers opportunities in ongoing adult formation for all those who serve in the Religious Education program.  These opportunities include courses offered through our partnership with

Franciscan University’s Catechetical Institute. 

TO ENROLL IN THE CATECHETICAL INSTITUTE

To enroll in the Catechetical Institute:

  • Simply go to FranciscanatHome.org
  • On your dashboard, select the green Choose the "Individual Membership” button. • 
  • Under “Does your institution (parish, school, etc.) already have a subscription?” 
  • click on the “Free Sign Up” button. 
  • Select "Camden" from the diocese from the drop-down list. 
  • Once you select Camden Diocese, a list of registered institutions from your diocese will appear.
  • Select St. Andrew the Apostle from the drop-down list of institutions in the diocese and click on the blue “Sign Up” button. 
  • Once you have your account and your dashboard appears, you can scroll down to "Start Learning" and choose the Track (i.e. Educating in Christ) or Catechist Certification that you are interested in beginning.
